You have to do more than just scratch the surface when looking for a Christian fellowship; you must do some digging…
There are a lot of churches and ministers that bandy about the term, “Kingdom,” as if it were a badge of honor. But little more than a cursory check reveals Old Testament rituals and denominational tradition; neither of which will save you nor keep you.
Then there are the “Grace” preachers and churches, many of whom teeter on the brink of universalism; others are bastions of legalism or, *gasp*, calvinism.
When you find the RIGHT church, the Kingdom of God will be evident because it will be regularly displacing the ways of the world and producing evidence of God’s power. Healing, deliverance, and prosperity among the members, and an apparent impact in its surrounding community are evidence of an effective Christian fellowship.
If the Love of God is not readily apparent, you are likely in the WRONG church. You know the ones where the Saints all look like they just took a big bite of a pickled lemon…
The RIGHT church will prompt you to serve and because the Holy Spirit will prompt you to do so. The wrong church will coerce you to give and guilt you into service.
The RIGHT church cultivates a culture of worship that does not stop when the Sunday service ends. Worship is a daily practice not a weekly event!
You need to be like the Bereans in Acts 17:11 – searching the Scriptures for yourself to see if what you heard in church is true!
Grace, too, will be expressed and manifest through the teaching of righteousness-consciousness (2 Corinthians 5:21) and liberty in Christ (2 Corinthians 3:17). Moreover, the RIGHT church will IMMEDIATELY reveal the joy of The Lord.
